Clinton Country Run to Benefit Hunterdon Medical Center

Published April 3, 2008

The 6th annual "Clinton Country Run" will be held Saturday, April 26th at Bunt Park in Clinton Township.  Participants can choose one of three races: 15K, 5K or a 1 mile run.

The 15K race has been selected by NJ USATF as the men and women open championship for New Jersey.   In addition to the 700 points there will be $2000 in cash prizes included in the awards to the winners. The 5K race has been selected by NJ USATF to be part of the New Balance Grand Prix Challenge.  This will include 500 points plus trophies and awards for each category.

Registration fees are: $10.00 for the 1 mile run, $20.00 for the 5K run and
$25.00 for the 15k run.  The corporate sponsors for the event are Shering-Plough and Merck.

Proceeds benefit Hunterdon Medical Center's Cardiovascular Program.  This summer, Hunterdon Medical Center will begin construction on a cardiovascular center which will house cardiac and vascular services, including emergency intervention, cardiac testing, carotid and coronary angioplasty, cardiac imaging and cardiopulmonary rehab -- all in one convenient location.  The creation of specialty clinics in congestive heart failure and stroke will offer new benefits to the community in the prevention and treatment of disease.
