The Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation held the 2008 Annual Hunterdon Golf Classic on May 21st at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster Township.  The event raised $82,000 which will benefit the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation and be directed towards enhancing cardiovascular programs and services at Hunterdon Medical Center.

Cardiovascular disease is Hunterdon County’s leading cause of death and its incidence is on the rise.  Hunterdon Healthcare System provides a broad range of cardiovascular services under the expert guidance of seven board-certified cardiologists.  Hunterdon Medical Center’s emergency angioplasty program has received national attention for its “door-to-balloon” time of less than 55 minutes, joining only 15% of the nation’s hospitals meeting the “Gold Standard” of care.
