The Friends of Brian Walsh, a group of friends and family of the late Brian Walsh, raised $31,000 from their 1st annual golf outing and donated $15,500 to Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center. Friends of Brian Walsh was created to honor Brian Walsh, a Hunterdon County resident who passed away from pancreatic cancer in March of 2007. Brian was treated at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center and at the request of his family a portion of the proceeds were donated to enhance programs at the cancer center. In addition, $15,500 was donated to the Paul R. Nardoni Foundation in honor of Paul Nardoni who passed away on April 17, 2001 after a five-year battle with Hodgkin's disease.
“Both Brian Walsh and Paul Nardoni were avid golfers so the golf outing was created to honor both gentleman. Over 120 friends and family of Brian and Paul came out to support the outing at Stanton Ridge Country Club in October,” stated Fred Molineux, who chaired the golf outing with Frank Sztuk.
The 2nd Annual Friends of Brian Walsh Golf Outing will be held on Monday, Oct 13th at the Stanton Ridge Country Club. For more information e-mail Fred Molineux at Fmolineux@patmedia.net.
