Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center Hosts Survivorship Lecture Series
Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center Survivorship Lecture Series presents: "Crazy, Sexy, Cancer" viewing and discussion on Thursday, May 15th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Auditorium at Hunterdon Medical Center.
"Crazy, Sexy, Cancer" is a documentary created by Kris Carr, a filmmaker/actress who was diagnosed with an incurable cancer in 2003. This film chronicles her journey with cancer, as well as four other women who all have their own unique stories to tell. "Crazy, Sexy, Cancer" is a thought provoking documentary that highlights the ups and downs of living with, and surviving cancer. An open discussion will follow the film.
The Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center is staffed by board-certified oncologists and oncology-certified nurses. Its comprehensive services include chemotherapy, radiation, clinical research, early detection and screening programs, support groups, educational
programs, nutrition counseling, psychosocial support, complimentary therapies and cancer risk assessment. Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center follows national guidelines for care and is accredited by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer as a Community Hospital Cancer Program. Approval by the Commission on Cancer is given only to those facilities that have voluntarily committed to provide the best in diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
