Loan Forgiveness Program

Bid Farewell to your Student Loans with Our New Loan Forgiveness Program

Nurse in Med RoomRecent Graduates or those graduating in the spring from an accredited nursing program with an associate or baccalaureate degree are eligible to participate in the Hunterdon Medical Center's Loan Forgiveness Program.

Graduates selected and hired for full-time nursing positions will be eligible for $5,000 contingent on a two-year commitment in a nursing position and satisfactory performance, payable in three (3) installments:

  • $1,000 paid upon completion of 90-day introductory period
  • $2,000 paid upon completion of one (1) year of service
  • $2,000 paid upon completion of two (2) years of service

Graduates selected and hired for part-time nursing positions (64 hours per pay period) will be eligible for $2,500 contingent on a two-year commitment in a nursing position and satisfactory performance, payable in three (3) installments:

  • $500 paid upon completion of 90-day introductory period
  • $1,000 paid upon completion of one (1) year of service
  • $1,000 paid upon completion of two (2) years of service

Loan Forgiveness payments are taxable compensation and subject to appropriate tax reporting and withholding.

In addition to our Loan Forgiveness Program, all new graduates can receive up to $3,500 a year for nursing education leading to a BSN or an advanced nursing degree.
