Yoga Classes for People with Diabetes

Lynne LaSpina CYT, RYT, Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor
Many studies have reported the beneficial effect of the practice of yoga on diabetes. These studies confirmed that the practice of postures can rejuvenate the insulin producing cells in the pancreas. Doing the postures in a relaxed manner, without exertion, accompanied by yogic meditation and breathing, helps most patients to improve blood sugar control.
While Yoga cannot "cure" diabetes, it can complement the lifestyle changes required to keep symptoms under control. It may also help practioners feel more in control of their health and well-being.
You can impact your health with small changes - yoga can be one of them!
