Inpatient Hospice Care/Suite

Hunterdon Hospice and Hunterdon Care Center provide a suite for the use of dying patients and their families. Dedicated in memory of Agnes Nagle, the aunt of Hunterdon Care Center Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Nagle, the inpatient hospice suite represents a departure from traditional hospice care.

Inpatient Suite From Bed

There are circumstances in which home-based care is not practical. Some times patients do not have relatives or family to care for them or their caregivers are too disabled or ill to be able to help. These special situations call for a different approach, and that's where the inpatient alternative can help.

While Hunterdon Care Center and Hunterdon Hospice staff is available for 24-hour pain monitoring, medication management and spiritual and personal care, the room itself is designed to provide a space for comfort, accommodation and refuge for both patient and family. The room includes an efficiency kitchen and convertible sofa for family members who want to remain with the patient.
