Infant massage

is a parenting tradition in many ancient cultures that has been re-discovered and adapted by the western world. Clinical evidence shows that a caregiver´s nurturing touch can have a positive impact on the subsequent development of an infant. Numerous studies have also shown the many developmental benefits of positive contact as a part of baby´s early life. Infant Massage is clearly one of the most natural and pleasant methods of providing this early nurturing contact.

Your baby will benefit from infant massage from the very beginning. It is best to start at an early age, but infant massage can begin any time in the first year.

Sessions are held at Hunterdon Medical Center and meet once a week for four weeks, with each class lasting about one hour. Both parents are welcome to attend. Private or group classes may be arranged in your home, at your convenience. Private class fees are by arrangement.
